The ITNS scanners built before WILL NOT work on MAC or Win 8. The bottom of the box has a date of manufacture. If you don't have the box the serial is on the bottom of the scanner. Call or logon to the IT folks and they will tell you when it was made. There is currently no software available to make the earlier units work on Win 8, this per the manufacturer. According to IT tech support these will work on Win 8.
